This is the second year I've used this virtual mega tree and I made some additional improvements and tweaks this year. I'm happier with the stability and shape, so I'll fabricate some nicer looking components for a cleaner look and simpler installation for next year. The video below is a full tour of the construction and components. The structure is essentially the same as what you would use to build a pixel mega tree, we just used a screen in place of hundreds, if not thousands, of heavy pixels that require regular replacement. The projector and screen setup give you a clearer picture when using photos and videos, though there is something to be said and enjoyed about the look of a pixel-dense mega tree. Personally, I feel there's a place for both in your show. The virtual mega tree is far cheaper than a pixel tree, but you do have the extra time of flipping the video for each sequence.
